Wildcare Africa laid the grounds for wildlife rehabilitation in Southern Africa. At the time that it was founded, wildlife rehabilitation was seen as nothing more than bunny hugging and as having no conservation value. Through a planned and sustained effort, we were able to show that wildlife rehabilitation can work and that it not only has humane value but can contribute to conservation if done properly.

None of this would have been possible without the incredible support of various people and organizations and even though the real and original Wildcare Africa was closed in 2005 - the impact continues.

This blog will bring you updates on some of the cases.
